- STATEMENT
We are strongly committed to upholding the health & safety of clients, colleagues, contractors, suppliers, and visitors and conserving the environment, thus providing a healthy and safe environment while complying with applicable local and international HSE regulations.
We shall achieve this policy by the following:
- Establishing and maintaining an HSE management system that facilitates a structured approach to the management of HSE risks.
- Providing adequate human, financial, and time resources to achieve our goals and to ensure the effectiveness of the system.
- Establishing an HSE committee headed by competent HSE manager to manage the system.
- Engaging all the clients, colleagues, contractors, suppliers, and visitors through education, training, instruction, and/or supervision
- Defining and communicating responsibilities in relation to environment, health, and safety to colleagues, clients, visitors, and contractors.
- Keeping up−to−date and ensuring compliance with applicable (local & federal) environment, health, and safety legal requirements as well as other requirements including ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 standards.
- Proactively identifying and managing environment, health, and safety risk via a documented hazard identification, risk assessment, risk control, and monitoring process.
- Regularly monitoring reports and reviewing HSE performance to achieve continual improvement
2. OBJECTIVE
The Health and Safety objectives of AL-SAHLA’s policy are to:
- Fulfill its responsibilities in terms of Health and Safety legislation
- Provide a safe and healthy place of work for its employees
- Highlight hazardous activities which must be managed
- Ensure the implementation of good practice which minimizes risk, and provides measurable feedback on the operation of the policy in order to provide for continuous improvement.
